Hello, my name is Jennifer but you can call me Jenn.
I was born on Sunday July 28th 1996 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
I am Ivorian.
I am a first-born and big sister to three adorable adults.
Growing up, I have lived in Ivory-Coast, briefly in France, Ghana, and South-Africa, and now in Togo, where I am based as an airline pilot.
I speak English, French, and Spanish when in Spain.
This cocktail of cultures mixed with my favourite summer holidays spent in my grandma’s village, have shaped me into the individual that you are reading today.
From the catholic education received in Primary school through the convoluted maze of advanced education to the brutal competitiveness in adulthood, I have learned that staying true to myself would lead me further than copying others ever will. I have also learned that there is nothing wrong with being introverted.
So you would most likely catch me in the comfort of my home playing guitar or piano, reading, painting, or writing about subjects that matter to me.
This is the moment where the vision I’ve been nurturing stops being mine alone. The vision of a world where everybody has a voice, and uses their voices to change the narrative.
That being said, this blog is a platform for my voice.
And the coolest thing about this blog (I never thought I’d use to this word one day!) is that, you all get to know what I am up to when I go M.I.A! Jokes. [Or not]
The other coolest thing is that you get a first row seat to travel through the timeline of my physical and mental growth.
Thank you for flying with me, enjoy your trip!
