Soaring to New Heights: The Adventures of a Female Pilot

I found her to be very smart, kind, not shy, and confident so much that she’s able to speak up even when it might be difficult. I found that quite admirable. Above all, she carries herself very well, way past people's ”supposed” definition of beauty, which causes you to look the second time and see her beauty shine through. When we talked about her childhood, school days and finally her journey to South Africa, all my heart said was “she’s one brave little woman”.

"Close to 20 years ago I met Jennifer at church with her family. Though a friendship started out of proximity and weekly convergence to the same place her genuine heart had me grow fonder. She is a woman with a compassionate, loving and genuine heart. She goes all in when she locks in on something. Proof in the pudding, she’s a pilot now and talked about it as a pre teen. Even in one of the hardest season of her life she still pushed toward her goals and cared for everyone around her. As a friend and sister I trust her judgement, admire her dedication, and love her."

The first time I saw Jennifer was on TV. I had a lot of affection for this young girl. I had the opportunity to talk with her later and I felt someone passionate about this profession and this world. So young and ready to face this world that does not give gifts, I found that commendable. And I think that her journey is an inspiration, not only for women, because I admit, I too was inspired by her journey. She will have a significant impact on the generation of pilots to come.

Affectionately called JOY, initials of her name Jennifer Ouloassia YHAYE, in the language of her country of birth (UK), Jennifer has given me indescribable joy since her birth... Today, a commercial pilot whose immediate challenge is to become a Captain, Jennifer is a family and national pride who in all humility leads her life by being very attached to the family. Despite her professional occupations and although living in different geographical spheres, Jennifer always takes great care of her parents and brothers from whom she regularly takes news... JOY, I am proud of you and my prayer is that our Lord Jesus Christ protects you and guides you on this path of excellence by reaching the summit of your profession for the Glory of his Name.
